it's been a while since i last blogged (well, it's really a long time). i'm just really plain lazy to type something out since my life was just work, work and more work so i just, you know, kind of let my blog rot. anyways, i'm back with some updates. basically just an update on my trip to Redang.


Night 1 - 24.04.2008
i met up with Guofeng, Jasper and Mingyuan @ Northpoint Macdonalds. from there, my dad was the one sending us to Golden Mile Tower where we were supposed to take the bus. reached there at about 2115hrs. then we walked over to Golden Mile Food Center and ate. we sat there and talk cock till 2200hrs. we walked over to Golden Mile Tower to meet up with the rest, Yiming, Soonyee, Jiancheng, Meiyun, Xiaoqi, Sai Teng. we boarded the bus at 2230hrs and finally we were on our way to Redang Island. the bus went from Tuas Checkpoint, and the trip took about 10hrs or so. along the way, the bus stopped 4 times for us to do our business and also to buy some stuff.


Day 1 Night 2 - 25.04.08
we reached Merang Jetty at about 0900hrs and then just waited for the bus to send us to take the boat to Redang. the boat trip takes about 45mins and the wave was rough and so the ride was a very bumpy one. we took the boat at about 0930hrs and we reached Redang at about 1015hrs. we checked in to the resort, Redang Reef Resort located just next to the small beach jetty (it was more of a beach landing than a jetty). we were given a briefing by the person in charge there and then were given our rooms. i slept in the room without the sea view. we opened the door to the room, and i was totally shocked by the inside. it was not only small, but it was totally messed up to the extend that it somehow looked like a crime scene. Jasper and Jiancheng took pictures of the mess, as if like we were acting in "CSI". the room was messed up, the sink was choked and all. it was a disaster. we then quickly get the people there to clean up the mess.

while the people were cleaning up the mess, we then went on to walk around the island. the view was beautiful and nice. the beach looks very nice and the sand is just soft and white, not like sentosa. at about 1200hrs we proceeded for lunch at the canteen there. food is provided for us to eat but there is only a certain timeframe allocated for breakfast, lunch, teabreak and dinner. after lunch, was freetime again. went to the "More More Tea Inn", the place where "夏日沫沫茶" was filmed. the place is a gift shop now, but the place remained as it is in the show. went there and shopped. at about 1400hrs, went back to the resort and went to rent equipment for our snorkeling trip. the life jacket, facemask and snorkel costed RM20 but the equipment will be with you for the rest of the stay. at about 1430hrs, we walked to another jetty and board a boat where the people there brought us out to snorkel. after sitting in the boat for about 30mins, we arrived at the destination. the place was quite big and the water was blue in color. we were given 1hrs time to snorkel. at first when i first went down to the sea, i was quite scared as i can't swim. even with the life jacket on, i thought i was drowning. but after i got used to it, it was pure enjoyment. i'm starting to like snorkeling, but it was rather tiring. words can't seem to describe my feelings then. it was a real good experience. and i believe anyone who has snorkeled will enjoy it too. after we finish snorkelling, we went back to the resort for teabreak.

after teabreak, we went to the beach to have a game of beach volleyball. we played with the locals there and seriously, they can spike really hard. they are not that tall as compared to us, but they have lots of power. as the volleyball game, we went back for dinner. seriously, the food there tasted just like mess food. after dinner, we went to the KTV pub located next to the canteen. the KTV pub is quite a nice place to chill as it's a outdoor pub, and we can feel the sea breeze blowing on your face as well. we sang till the place almost closed. i drank quite a few bottles of liquor there. at about 2230hrs, we went to the beach party. the beach party played Cantopop songs and i don't have a clue on how to dance sia. they only played a bit of R&B. but i really noticed that Malaysians don't dance R&B. we danced till 12 plus then we went back to sleep.


Day 2 Night 3 - 26.04.08
woke up at 0630hrs to view the sunrise. after that breakfast. after breakfast, went snorkelling again. this time is to Marine park. nice place to snorkel but it's damn packed with people that wherever you swim, you will be bound to knock into people there. too many people in a small area. but there the divers actually lured out an eel for us to see. it's quite big. well, after snorkelling was lunch. after lunch, me, jasper, mingyuan and guofeng played carrom at the canteen area. after that, we went to walk around to do some shopping again. after doing some shopping, we went for another game of beach volleyball. it was tiring and i'm still trying to improve on my skills in the game. after that, went back for dinner again. after dinner, KTV pub again. drank even more. this time we sang till 11 plus before we went over to "More More Tea Inn" again for Yiming's surprise birthday celebration. we bought him a little cake there to celebrate his 22nd birthday. after the celebration was over, we went back to sleep again.


Day 3 - 27.04.08
going back to Singapore. woke up at 0730hrs and rushed down for breakfast and packing of our bags. checked out at 0800hrs and took the boat back to Merang jetty. reached the jetty at 0840hrs and there we managed to do some last minute shopping while waiting for the bus to come. the bus came at about 1000hrs and then left for home. on the way to the first pit stop, the bus driver dropped us at a place without washroom, so he had to make a detour and in the end wasted about 30 to 40mins just to get us a washroom. after that, lunch and continue of the trip again. reached back in Singapore at about 2130hrs but due to the bus lane congested, we have to wait and by the time we reached back to our starting point, Golden Mile Tower, it was 2230hrs. after that, was home.


this trip is really fun with all these people. really enjoyed the trip and thought it was a short holiday, it's still a nice getaway for everyone. okay, i will end here.

yo people. i'm finally here to blog about my taiwan trip. it was a very fun and great 5 days over at taiwan.


Day 1 - 26.12.07 Wednesday

reached singapore changi airport @ 1100hrs. flight number 3K522 (Jetstar Asia). flight was scheduled to take off @ 1300hrs. the flight to taiwan took 4hrs 40mins. reached taiwan @ about 1740hrs. it was already very dark and by the time i checked out from the arrival hall, it was about 1830hrs. took a cab (小黄） to the hotel @ XiMenDing (西门町）. it was a 45mins ride and it costed NT$1200 (S$60). reached the hotel and put the luggage. then went out to walk around in XiMenDing (西门町） as it was evening time. walked over to xiao zhu's (罗志祥) shop, Stage. bought a Stage cap for Mingyuan. went back to hotel @ about 2200hrs. then went to sleep.


Day 2 - 27.12.07 Thursday

woke up @ 0800hrs. went to eat breakfast @ XiMenDing (西门町）. after breakfast, took their Metro Railway Transport (Not really sure what MTR means, only know it's called 捷运) to DanShui (淡水). reached there @ about 1000hrs. walked around the old street and then took a ferry to Bali (八里）. had lunch over there. after lunch, was off to Fisherman's Wharf (渔人码头). great scenery and the air there was fresh and cold. walked on the Lover's Bridge (情人桥). went back to XiMenDing (西门町） @ about 1600hrs. reached XiMenDing (西门町）@ about 1730hrs. took a short bath and then off to ShiLinYeShi (士林夜市) @ about 1900hrs. reached there @ about 1945hrs. ate lots of stuff (棺材板,蛤阿煎,臭豆腐,蛤阿面线,刷冰,超大鸡排,天妇罗,珍珠奶茶). after that, walked around the street where there are lots of shops and lots of stuff are on sale. bought 2 tees and 1 cap from there. went back to the hotel @ about 2300hrs. reached hotel @ about 2345hrs. then off to bed only @ about 0100hrs.

Day 3 - 28.12.07 Friday

woke up @ about 0830hrs. went to XiMenDing (西门町） and had Mac for breakfast. after breakfast, went down to Longshan Temple (龙山寺) as my parents went there to pray. then walked around the streets before heading over to Chiang-Kai-Shek Memorial Hall (中正纪念堂). reached CKS @ about 1100hrs. at there, saw that it was no longer called 中正纪念堂 but was changed to 台湾民主纪念馆. went into the memorial hall and walked around. it's mostly about how Chiang-Kai-Shek become the first president. nice stuff and all. then left there @ about 1200hrs.went to Taipei Main Station (台北车站). my brother wanted to buy some stuff there but there's no more of whatever it is he wanted to buy. so went over to Houshanpi (后山埤). reached there @ about 1330hrs. ate there and then was off to Wufenpu (五分埔). went there to shop. realised that most of the stuff there were mostly winter clothings. however, i still managed to buy 1 man's handbag, 1 jeans, 1 tee and 1 jacket. after the shopping spree there was back to hotel. left there @ about 1645hrs. reached hotel @ about 1730hrs. did some shopping with my brother at XiMenDing (西门町）again. bought 2 tees and 1 shades from the shopping there. went back to hotel @ about 1900hrs. went to have shuashuaguo (刷刷锅) for dinner. after that was shopping again @ XiMenDing (西门町）. this time, bought a Nike sneakers. back to hotel @ about 2200hrs. went over to parents' hotel for a drink. back to our room @ about 2350hrs. off to bed.

Day 4 - 29.12.07 Saturday

woke up @ about 0815hrs. had breakfast @ XiMenDing (西门町）. after that went to muzha (木栅) and took the maokong gondola (猫空缆车). reached there @ about 1030hrs. waited for the gondola for about 1hr. the gondola ride was great. it's not like the cable car trip in singapore, it's only way better than that. went to the top of the mountain, but didn't walk much as it was raining over there. went back to XiMenDing (西门町） @ about 1230hrs. reached XiMenDing (西门町） @ about 1345hrs. had lunch and back to hotel. went to walk around XiMenDing (西门町） alone @ about 1730hrs. bought 2 caps from Apery (1 for me, 1 for mingyuan), 2 tees from the fast shopping that i've done. i actually covered almost every corner of ximending (西门町）from my walking. went back to hotel @ about 1900hrs. put my stuff and went over to the tourist attraction, Taipei 101 (台北101). reached there @ about 1935hrs. walked around and had dinner @ New York New York food court. food there was nice. walked around Shin Kong Mitsutoshi (新光三越). took photos of 101. after that went back to hotel @ about 2145hrs. reached hotel @ 2230hrs. slept @ 0100hrs.

Day 5 - 30.12.07 Sunday

last day. woke up @ 0900hrs. had breakfast @ XiMenDing (西门町）. did some last minute shopping @ XiMenDing (西门町）. bought 1 more jeans before leaving. bought 2 jacket and a girl's tee for cheewei, joonhian and rox. finish shopping @ about 1300hrs. left XiMenDing (西门町） @ 1400hrs. took a cab to Taipei Main Station (台北车站) and from there, took a bus to Taoyuan International Airport (桃园国际机场). the bus ride took about an hour. reached airport @ about 1515hrs. way too early to even check-in. went to eat at the food court in the airport. check-in @ 1600hrs. boarded the gate @ 1700hrs and into the boarding area @ about 1730hrs. took the flight 3K521 (Jetstar Asia). flight was scheduled to take off @ 1825hrs. reached singapore @ about 2300hrs.

okay guys, that's all for my Taiwan trip. i really had fun and really want to go back again. planning to go back to Taiwan in June or July. this time round, it will be with my friends, so it will definitely be more interesting and also, more shopping. alright guys. that's all. for photos, view my facebook or friendster. i have uploaded some pictures (for all my pictures, can msn me) for your viewing pleasure. thanks. take care everyone.

now blogging from taipei. the past few days been really great. taiwan is super fun. although i came with my family, it's been fun too. i shall not blog about the trip yet. but the past 4 days been lots of walking. walking around and sightseeing. really really nice. been to danshui (bali, yurenmatou), wufenpu, shilinyeshi, muzha, ximending of course (my hotel that i'm staying is in ximending, ermei st.). going over to taipei 101 later for sightseeing and dinner. tomorrow is the final day and i really kind of miss these place. taiwan is a great place to play, eat, shop and relax. weather has been really cooling and unlike singapore, the weather here is always very cold (normal days from 24 to 17). the place is not like singapore, the pace of life here is much more slower and relaxing, and of course, the people here dresses much better (as in dress sense and all) and more stylish. alright, think i should stop here. once i'm back in singapore, shall update on my 5 days in taiwan. stay tuned. byebye everyone.

hey everyone! back.

this few days i'm really getting excited. first reason being new year is coming so naturally i'm excited. second reason being, i'm going to TAIWAN! it's being at least 5 to 6 years since i went overseas (and overseas i don't mean Malaysia). i'm really looking forward to visiting Taiwan. Ximending, Wufenpu, Shilinyeshi (Shihlin Night Market) and so many other places. i'm ready to shop till i drop over there. i'm going to get myself lots of clothings and accessories. don't worry people, will get souvenirs from there. i just can't wait. 8 more days left before i fly off.

finally back to update my blog. i'm just kind of, you know, lazy to update. been on the lazy side recently. anyway, most of my days are spent on working. my work is kind of slack and easy but still, it's kind of tiring. working in prison is easy work, the only hard work for me is taking care of my "cute" little thing called Roko.

well, actually he's not little thing, but he's my dog. he's not easy to take care because he always makes sure i have something to do. cleaning him and his kennel is hell lot of work. that's because he's is good painter, something that Picasso should be worried. Roko likes to paint, and so he always finds his ways to express his feelings on the wall tiles. He also likes to paint on the floor, as sometimes his inspiration comes and so he paints on the floor. Being a painter always means that most of the time after painting, the body is bound to be dirty. and so my job is basically cleaning up the mess he created on his body, and also to make the tiles and floors clean so he can paint again. he can paint a picture in 5 minutes and i need to take 45 minutes to clean up his mess. no choice but i can't just stop his inspiration and liking for painting right?

Roko gets along well with anyone, so long as he is human. you see, Roko just don't like his other counterparts, or rather, other dogs. He just can't seem to get along well with any dog, unless they are female of course. Maybe because he's young and so he gets abit edgy at times. but still, even after being "disciplined" by me, he still don't seem to get the message that he must get along with the other dogs. well, maybe he is like a little "gangster", always looking for a good fight. i guess dog behavior is hard to change as well, just like our habits are hard to kick.

alright, moving on. christmas is coming, and man, i'm working on christmas day. the eve is my second day off. going over to chalet on the eve. christmas morning go straight off to work, since chalet is at Aloha Changi and it's very near to my workplace. it's only a 5 minutes drive from my camp. 26th december i'm flying off to TAIWAN. hooray! a well-deserved holiday for me. i haven't been overseas for a few years. the last overseas trip (by overseas i mean, well, really overseas, and not Malaysia) i had was a good 6 years ago. the last trip i went to was Thailand. and i didn't really enjoy myself much (fact that i was still schooling and i spent my parent's money). this time round, it's way different than last time. now, i can buy whatever i feel like buying without spending my parents money. i'm using my own money for the holiday. feels really different. TAIWAN is definitely one of the place that is on my "Must go for holiday" list. Their fashion and style is somewhat similar to us, therefore, i'm sure i can find clothes that is suitable to wear. i'm really looking forward for the TAIWAN trip. going with family this time round. maybe next year, will plan a trip to TAIWAN or HONG KONG with friends.
