Music for the day: Perfect - Simple Plan
Mood for the day: Happy

hi people. im back again. today is a very good and relaxed day for me. reach school at about 0845hrs. immediately reaching the lab, im slacking all the way. so what i do in the lab is basically reading people blog. from 0845hrs to 1100hrs im been reading blogs all the way. at 1100hrs i went for an early lunch (because of the "motorola" trip). i finished at about 1130hrs and went back to lab again as it was early. read blog again (read friends blog) then stay till about 1200hrs then went down to the blk s lobby. after marking attendance, i went into the bus and seated. i waited awhile for the other students to board the bus. to my surprise, i saw my friend, francis. luckily he was there, if not i dont even know who to talk to. then at about 1245hrs, the bus left for "motorola". its only a 5 minutes ride to "motorola". when we reached "motorola", we waited at the reception for 5 minutes before registering at the front desk and get our "goodie bags". here are the pictures of the goodie bags:

this is what the bag looks like.

this are the things inside, coaster (i think), sticker and pen.

we were also given a bottle of mineral water, which happen to be "motorola brand".

"motorola" brand mineral water

the "motorola" trip was basically just to let us know more about their company and how their company works. its kind of a nice experience but also its very boring. we went for the plant tour and we were basically shown how the phone was produced. i kind of not understand the manufacturing part as me, being an IT student, wouldnt know about this kind of stuff. we were shown both the front end and back end production process. the front end was more of an "automated" process as most of the processes were done by the machines. for the back end process, it requires manual labour. there are lots of processes involved and every process is done by humans. after the plant tour also marks the ending of the outing. we had a lucky draw before the end of the trip. overall the trip was okay, just that a "chiobu" there really perked me up. she was really really pretty and hot. too bad i was just there as a visitor (if im not wrong, i think she is from ngee ann poly). then after the visit, i went back to school and had my "lunch" again. i reached back to the lab at about 1530hrs. then after lunch i basically slacked in the lab again as it was already close to dismissal time. so basically slack at the lab till dismissal.

after dismissal, i went back to woodlands to meet one of my godsister, rain. she wanted to meet me because she said she had something to give me. when i reached woodlands, she surprised me with a present. its the "le coq sportif" bag that i told her about just a few days ago. here is the bag i got from rain.

the overall view of the bag

the closeup view of the bag

thanks rain for the present again. then after i got my present, i followed her to walk for awhile in causeway point. we walked for around 15 to 20 minutes before she said she was going off to town so we parted. i went back home and eat. so basically thats all. after dinner then upload pictures to photobucket. after uploading is what im doing now. so thats all for now.

anyway, remember i said in my earlier post that my friend, francis drew me a birthday "card". well, here it is:

closeup of "me" drawn by francis

this is the whole picture

anyway, in case you people are wondering what my fyp mates wrote for me, i decided to write it here. i didnt edit what they wrote in any way.

from val:

from peggy:

most impt: Smile Always!

from han meng:

Best wishes and may all your wishes come true

from zhan sheng:

thats all they wrote for me. once again, i have to say, a big thanks to everyone who made my day special and memorable. anyway, today's post is abit long but i think its alright because since its my birthday today, i can say as much as i want right. for people or friends who are reading this, do bear with me as birthday only comes once a year. got it? okay, i shall stop here. going to bath and get ready for the big match later. germany vs argentina. this match die die must watch. hope my favourite team, argentina, can get through to the semis. okay, i will stop right now.

Mood for the day: Happy

hi everyone. first of all, happy birthday to me!!!! today is my birthday!!! turned 20 today. sounds cool? well, today is a very good day for me. actually it should be yesterday (its friday now). i hereby want to say a big THANKS to all my fyp buddies. thanks for the pizza and the picture (thanks francis for that). really appreciate that. i must say here that im really touched but im not crying. thanks everyone (everyone in my lab, geraldine, val, han meng, zs, peggy, francis for drawing the picture). i will really remember what you guys did.

anyway, since today's my birthday i will make some wishes for myself. okay, here goes.

1. argentina to win the world cup
2. do well in my fyp
3. find a girlfriend??? (im been making this wish every year)

okay, the rest of the wishes is not for all of you to know.

okay, a quick recap of yesterday. basically what they did was just celebrated my birthday by pizzas (really appreciate that, thanks alot once again). they celebrated yesterday because val (my project mate) is going to bangkok today (which i think she should reach there by now?) so they decided to help me celebrate earlier. really happy because it kind of came as a surprise for me so i didnt expect that. and you all ask me whether im touched. of course i am. im only a human but dont ever expect me to cry (because i really cant cry). then they also give me this picture of me (drawn nicely by francis) and had written something for me on it (will post the picture today once i have it laminated). so basically thats it. really really happy because i didnt really celebrate my birthday for a long time (because normally its school reopens for some).

today is going to be a good day for me to enjoy. but somehow, i need to go for this "motorola" visit during noon so i need to wear shirt but luckily, can wear jeans and sneakers. i dont know what this "motorola" visit is all about so i will briefly talk about it once i reach home (after school today). and today is the big night for argentina (and me, being a vivid argentina fan). germany vs argentina. hope they can win, or rather, they will win. do your best, argentina. win them to prove you are the best!

i think im just going to stop here for now. will continue after i get home from school today. good night everyone and good day everyone. and here again, THANKS TO ALL MY GREAT PALS (you know who you guys are)!!!!

{Thursday, June 29, 2006 . no world cup today!!!}

Music for the day: Cao Ge 曹格 - Superwomen
Mood for the day: Good??

hi everyone. the date now is 28th june 2006 and the time is 2310hrs. in just 25hrs time, i will officially become 20 years old. well, i can still vaguely recall when i was 15 or 16, i always wished i could get to 20 years old quickly but now when im reaching it, i dont really feel like getting to that age. contradicting some may say. seriously i just dont feel like it. it seems that you are getting older. maybe its just my imagination. but then again, im just 1 more year from officially becoming an real adult (once a person hits 21, s/he is officially an adult). i wonder how im going to celebrate my 21st birthday (why am i thinking about this when im not even 20 yet?).

well, yesterday was as usual a boring day in school. fyp is boring as usual. nothing given for me to work on. its both a good and bad thing. good thing is you were not be very stressed but the bad thing is im very bored as i have absolutely nothing to do. then i received this letter saying that im selected to go for an "outing" to motorola this friday (which happens to be my birthday). im not sure what is it for but all i know is im not that bored after all. but one thing, i have to wear shirt to the place. im allowed to wear jeans and sneakers but still, shirt? i hate it man. why do i need to wear shirt? why cant wear t-shirt or polo tee? weird indeed. okay, apart from this, yesterday was very boring for me. the only thing that really shocked me was the world cup results. serious stuff. im not surprised that brazil won but im very astonished by the fact that the french won spain. spain was a good team that is in excellent form while france was just starting to pick up their form. maybe the french is more experienced considering the amount of "old players" they have. they won espanol 3-1 by the way which was a very shocking scoreline (i thought even if the french would won, they would only win 2-1). so the quarterfinals matchup goes like this:

germany vs argentina (30th june 2006, 11pm [gmt +8])

italy vs ukraine (1st july 2006, 3am [gmt +8])

england vs portugal (1st july 2006, 11pm [gmt +8])

brasil vs france (2nd july 2006, 3am [gmt +8])

to me, only the italy match is not that worth watching although i will try to watch all the matches. its the quarterfinals so i will try to make it up to watch the match. the match i want to see most would be the 1st quarterfinals match where the germans faces the argentines. i seriously want argentina to win this match (argentina supporter here. go argentines!). the germans are strong and not a team that is good to play with. but still i believe in the argentines. that can do it. go argentina, go jose pekerman (coach of argentina).

okay, moving on. today in lab was another boring day. the only thing that i did was pass my supervisor the cms thing that i was doing, to him. that was the only thing i did. and when he called me at about two plus in the afternoon, i was still sleeping. only when i keep hearing the table vibrate then i realise it was my phone. then today i actually played uno in lab. my friend bought the uno cards (zhan sheng bought it at takashimaya, rich guy i would say), so we played in the lab. then when we were playing happily, zhan sheng saw my supervisor and he thought it was our lab manager so he quickly keeped the uno cards by sweeping all the cards into his takashimaya shopping bag. by the way, geraldine was trying to use her jacket to cover the cards but his action is so well trained that in my opinion, his natural reflexes kicked in and he kept all the cards so fast that i couldnt pass him the cards in time to keep. it all happened in split second (okay, maybe not that fast) and luckily my supervisor just came in to give something to our DT. after he left, we (the ones playing the cards) was laughing real hard. really really hard. it was really funny to see zhan sheng reaction when he was keeping the cards. he seemed experienced as his actions was so natural. it was really fun. everyday that will be something fun that happens in our lab. so it wasnt that boring in lab after all.

time passes real fast. 24 hrs from now (time is 1202hrs) i will turn 20 years old. hooray? i dont really want to say that. but i really have to admit. im getting old already. time flies really fast, so fast that i thought yesterday was just the start of 2006. anyway, i didnt spent 1hr to write this, it was because at about 2315hrs, my brother was using the computer. so i let him use first. i didnt expect him to use till 2345hrs. so i only continued from there. coming back, there is no world cup today so i can really sleep early tonight (im sleeping after i finish blogging today). okay, i think im going to sleep soon. my eyes are closing. so shall stop here. will try to blog either later tonight or on friday (in this case, after my birthday). good luck everyone.

signing off.

Music for the day: Jolin Tsai 蔡依林 - Xin Xing Quan 心型圈
Mood for the day: speechless (due to the pain on my leg)

hi people. im finally back to write something. i have just finished massaging my left kneecap (thanks to my mum) and my left leg is totally numb now. i injured my left kneecap after last saturday basketball game and it only hurt now. so i got my mum to help me apply and massage medicated oil. it was a bad mistake. i was totally screaming in pain when she was rubbing my leg (you wont want to imagine me screaming and almost crying in pain). anyway, the worst is over so i can let my leg rest. still, i can feel the bruised area in pain. dammit. shouldn't have over-exert myself from the basketball games. even though i didnt run as much, but because it was kind of like an old injury so in the end, i ended up injurying more badly than i thought.

anyway, im here to write about my fyp mates actually (well, i was ASKED to write about them). okay, just joking about the being ASKED part. anyway, im glad to have fyp mates like them. you see, who would want to stay in a quiet lab where everyone is just quietly doing their own stuff and dont even bother about each other. definitely not me. for me, my lab mates are a fun bunch of people to hang out with. reasons? we can chat and joke around with each other. where to find this bunch of people where the whole lab (okay, not the entire lab) jokes around and laugh like nobody's business. well, you can find it in my lab. real interesting stuff. im also less sleepy in the lab (although i do sleep sometimes, when i just fold my arms in front of my PC. oops, secret's out). anyway, in the lab, im known to my projectmate, Valerie as simply, "partner". also, im known as "grey eye boy" to Geraldine (what an easy nickname to remember). why "grey eye boy" you may ask? reason? simple, because i wear grey color contacts.

anyway, today was a very boring day. actually, to tell the truth, i have been rotting in my lab since last week. my supervisor didnt give me anything to do so i have simply nothing to do as well. i told him that i have finished with my work and although he did told me that he will have something to give me to do, well, i havent received anything yet. so the only thing i can do is wait. okay, back to topic. today, there were visitors who came in to my lab. and guess what i was doing. i was actually sleeping. sleeping in front of the guest/visitors. lucky i wasnt caught (due to my smart way of sleeping). the best part, i was sleeping even when other supervisors and lab manager (thats right, lab manager) was in the lab itself. so lucky to have escaped (lucky? no?). just hope i dont get caught one day.

okay, i shall stop here. going to watch the italy vs australia match. interesting match i should say. (as im writing here, the match has already been playing for 30mins). alright. got to go. tata. shall write some other day. if you have anything to say to me (be it good or bad, just say it in my chatbox). do leave your name (unless you want to insult me but scared i know who you are). thats all.

* P.S. change your character encoding to unicode to see the chinese words in the front. *

{Sunday, June 25, 2006 . Of sleepless nights and restless days}

Music for the day: Hong Jun Yang 洪俊扬 - Sha Sha De Shui 沙沙的谁
Mood for the day: Darn tired physically

yoz everyone. here i am again. its been 15 days since i last posted on my blog. sorry there. just a bit lazy this days because of watching world cup 2006. anyone, for most guys out there (im not implying all guys), now is the time where we will not get enough sleep and have panda eyes just to watch the world cup. im one of those who are having panda eyes now. lots of sleepless nights and restless days. usually after watching soccer in the early morning, i will feel very tired and restless in the day. feel like a walking zombie (not implying im one okie). but its only kind of good to watch worthwhile matchs, like the argentina vs serbia montenegro match (well, im still not over it) where serbia got trashed by not 1, not 2, but 6 goals. its always good to watch soccer with lots of balls scored.

anyway, its the first match of the last 16 where hosts germany faces european contenders sweden. germany has really done really well this year. they have really improved alot over the past 4 years (from their last world cup). i really do hope germany can make it to at least the semi finals. for your information, germany has finished the match with a 2-0 victory over sweden (just finished the match while im typing this). so the scandinavian team is out. anyway, this result is not surprising at all, considering the german team is real strong this year. maybe because of home ground advantage? maybe not. for one thing i know is that germany is no longer keeping to their "one goal and defend" policy. they have learned to attack and defend at the same time. this really makes german football more interesting.

okie. moving on. the next match will feature my favourite team for this year world cup and one of the hot favourites to win the cup, argentina. team argentina this year has really evolved to a very strong and more teamwork-oriented match. watching argentina play really shows that they are not a team to be reckoned with. team argentina this year has both experienced and young new talents. they have lots of world class players also, e.g. crespo, sorin, riquelme, tevez, aimar (who hasnt play yet, still warming the bench), messi (yeah, the 18 year old wonderboy of barcelona), maxi rodriguez and more. the argentine squad this year has both solid defending and powerful strikeforces. also, their teamwork is one of the most impressive compared to other teams in this year world cup. they would build their attack slowly by passing the ball around the midfield area, then slowly move up. when they have a chance, they would certainly make full use of it. thats what i call teamwork i tell you.

anyway, i spent this 2 weeks doing the same usual stuff. my life is very monotonous now. monday to friday, morning to report to school at about 8.30am (though i never reported at that time before). monday to thursday go home at 6pm, then friday go home at 5.30pm. come saturday, play basketball with my friends at 2.30pm at the usual place. then comes sunday, slack at home the whole day or just go causeway point to have a little walk (though i usually slack at home more). thats my life right now. real bored as you can see. lucky when im in school, i can still crap around with my friends. my fyp mates. makes my day in school kind of, less boring i think. glad to have fyp mates like that.

i guess i will stop right here. im blogging for about 30 minutes already. my eyes is hurting a bit now. dont know what happened. must be never sleep much. then now hurting like hell. my right eye just keep blinking non stop. darn it. im also exhausted after basketball yesterday (because its sunday now). played lots of matches (i think i played at least 2 to 3 5-on-5 games and 4 or 5 half court 4-on-4 matches) and i think i really ran alot today. i only know i keep running and running. only during 1 of the 5-on-5 matches i didnt run as much. too exhausted i tell you. burned off all my petrol. the last match was the worse. my legs were totally shaking and i couldnt even run or jump much, as a result, all my balls resulted in either a miss or "airball". looks like i got to start building up my stamina and body physically. okie. really stopping here.

Music for the day: Now in school so no music
Mood for the day: Getting ready for World Cup Germany 2006

yoz peeps. im back. today is 9th June 2006. the time is 1606 and its only juz 7hrs plus away from the start of World Cup Germany 2006. its the time when all guys will be restless for the whole month. girls, if your boyfriend is late for any appointment, do show some care as World Cup only comes once every 4 years (the same excuse will come when the Euro comes). anyway, hope tonite will hav a gd match and nt like 2002 where the opening match, France VS Senegal, was really the eye opener (with France losing to Senegal 1-0 and not getting a single point from the group matches). well, this year too was a big suprise as some new teams made it to the group stages. the african teams in particular. firstly, wtf is nigeria doing? (no offense here) and wat? togo made it to the world cup qualifiers. its their first ever world cup and to wat i see, i nv heard any big-shot players in togo. then nx, cameroon is not in. there goes samuel eto'o but lets welcome didier drogba of ivory coast. IMO, eto'o was a better player than drogba. a fantastic goal starter *scorer in barcelona. drogba, he was lucky cuz he got to chelsea. (no offense again.)

moving rite along, wat is angola doing in the world cup too? why is romania, russia, or even greece, the European Champions for 2004 in the world cup. this year's world cup seems really exciting with the groups all evenly distributed out. but hope this year we wont get to see that much shocking defeats by the underdogs.

anyway, enf of the world cup. cuz its making me more excited. juz hope that the world cup in germany wont remain the ppl about wat happened in Munich in 1972 during the Olympics. in case you ppl out there din know, in 1972, during the Olympics in Munich, 11 Israeli athletics were killed by a terrorist organisation called "Black September". the news came as a shock for the whole world. especially to the Israeli government and the Germans. i dun really know the exact details but the movie "Munich" does hav some details but i cant really rmb as Munich focus on the aftermath of the Black September incident. well, so i shall not go any further to say about that.

if you guys din know, im blogging from my school. in my fyp lab where so many ppl walk pass my lab and tend to always look into the lab as if we are some peculiar animals. we are in a lab that is so called a "Fish Tank" by my lecturers. y izit a "Fish Tank" you may ask? that is cuz NYP block S level is so called the "Orchard road" of NYP. many visitors from all around the world, will visit the facilities here and take a look. (as if there is anything to see, it basically all computers everyway and our school computers are juz like the same as any other.) so students here have become an exhibit, cuz lecturers want the visitors to see students in all the labs whenever they visit this place. anyway i tink i better stop here b4 any of the lab managers here see me doing nth. (fyi, i really din hav anything to do cuz my supervisor din giv me any more work for now) okie, i shall stop here. will continue some other day. ciaoz.

Mood for the day: Mixed feelings

yoz everyone. im finally back to blogging. its been almost half a year. well, i was kinda busy and lazy to blog. but anyway now im back to blogging. anyway i hav changed my layout and all. do leave comments if you hav to read my blog and hav anything to say. anyway, i hav been busy and all during the period of time i did not blog. lotsa things happen and i really dun wanna write down everything that happened. as some of you know, i haven graduate from NYP and still a student currently. im in my last semester le so i also hope to graduate. i hav only myself to blame for not working hard and slack too badly. yes badly. and i mean real bad. im trying to change myself for the better so i mus presevere.

anyway, if anyone of you has a blog here, i would like to actually link to your addresses. of cuz, if you all wan me to link to your blog then you just drop me a message thru my msn if you hav. if not you can juz leave a comment. greatly appreciated if you leave your comments.

okie. i tink my brain is malfunctioning already. its only 2321 hrs now and im already malfunctioning. omg. blogging is really hard i guess. nothing to write le. lol. anyway, if anyone of you hav read or saw the news, you ppl would know that Indonesia is hit by yet another earthquake. its not the tsunami this time, but an earthquake. its really kinda sad to hear this news. i was rather taken aback. Indonesia has juz recovered from the Aceh Tsunami incident and now Bantul has been hit by an earthquake. only a few weeks ago, news about the Mount Merapi going to erupt has been announced and soon after they were hit by an earthquake. its really saddening to hear all this news. My hearts really goes out to the 5700 victims who were killed by the earthquake. I really hope that i can be there to help the victims but we can't really go there now so the only thing we can really do to help them is by donating money to the Red Cross Society. Everyone out there, whoever, juz do your part by donating money to the Red Cross Society to help those earthquake victims. every cent counts.

i tink thats all for today. going off to play Maplestory. heh. i know i know, many of you may tink its a game for kids but hey, im still a child at heart. lol. its juz a game i like to play. so thats all folks. will be back soon.
